Speed Run, known as Aura Run in Shattered 2, is a power in Shattered and Shattered 2. Water Run is its water equivalent.
About[]
- Shattered
This power is first seen in the mission Doughnuts when James Derettas uses the ability to escape the military. When activated, James creates an aura field under his feet that he stands on. This field levitates. James then leans his body in the direction he would like to go, and the field takes him. If the player is using the Speed Run and crashes into an object, the aura field will disintegrate and James will land on his feet. It can then be reactivated again.
- Shattered 2
The power is known as Aura Run in Shattered 2. James already possesses this power from the beginning of the game, as well as Water Run. Chris does not obtain Light Run, the Light Manipulation variant, until the player must purchase it for 20 Tin in the mission An Upgrade.
Upgrades[]
- Shattered
There are three upgrades available to Speed Run, which must be unlocked in order. Requires the completion of the campaign (storyline).
- Faster Speed Run – Cost: 300XP – Speed Run is already a bit hard to maneuver. This upgrade gives James increased maneuverability.
- Water Run – Cost: 1000XP – Allows James to use Speed Run on water, like a speed boat.
- Shattered 2
- Wall Run – Cost: 50 Tin – Allows James to use Aura Run up walls and other vertical surfaces. Requires the completion of Front Row Seats.
- Death Run – Cost: 80 Tin – Any human enemy that James runs into while using Aura Run is automatically killed. Aura Run cannot be used for 30 seconds after this use.

- In Shattered, Water Run is unlocked after the game is beaten.
- Speed Run can be used as an alternative to driving vehicles, or if the player wishes to avoid heat.
